Thank you for for exploring the option of enrolling your child at the Montessori School of Englewood. At TMSOE, we teach the whole child — emotionally, cognitively, socially — in the unique context of their own family and neighborhood. If this sounds like a community you believe in, we would love for you to enroll your child here.
This gives prospective families a chance to see the uninterrupted morning work cycle: a hallmark of Montessori education. Your visit will start with a tour of the school, followed by a chance to sit and observe a class at work. Before you leave, you will have an opportunity to meet with our administrative staff to ask any question you may have. Please note that these initial visits are for adults only.
Any child ages 3-14 who lives in the city of Chicago may enroll at the Montessori School of Englewood. We accept applications on a rolling basis. TMSOE does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, nationality, ethnicity, or sexuality. As TMSOE is a Chicago Public School, tuition is free for all students.
If there are more eligible applicants than there are spaces available, new students will be selected by lottery. However, priority is given to siblings of current TMSOE students. After the lottery, each randomly selected admitted student will be notified; those who aren’t selected will be placed on a wait list.
Prior to starting school at TMSOE, parents/guardians must provide a completed enrollment application, immunization records, as well as up-to-date physical, dental, and vision examinations. These items must be returned to the front office manager.
